regulatory bodies ombudsperson for children The Ombudsperson for Children investigates the cases of violations of the rights of the Child and makes recommendations to Ministers on Legislation, Policies and Practices regarding services for children or for their rights. They also advise private and public bodies on the protection of the rights of children.

Aims and Objectives:

  • To ensure that the rights, needs and interests of children are given full consideration by public bodies, private authorities, individuals and associations of individuals;
  • To promote the rights and best interests of children and;
  • To promote compliance with the Convention on the rights of the Child.
